The building at 1406 Radio Rd. is the oldest structure
in Redwood Shores. It was built in 1939 by the Army Corp
of Engineers to house a radio transmitter that would be
used during WW II to encourage the US Troops in the South
Pacific.
Later in March of 1960 the Radio Station was acquired by
Far East Broadcasting and used to broadcast the Gospel to
South America and into Communist China and the USSR.
When Fully Alive purchased the land and the building from
Far East Broadcasting in 1999, we wanted to honor the history
of the radio station and the work that Far East Broadcasting
had done from this land for so long.
That is why the upstairs meeting room will, from now on,
be referred to as "The Studio".
