What is a "Technical Director"?
Chris is responsible for the different technical ministries at Fully Alive, including sound reinforcement at our services, graphic support, video editing and theatrical lighting

How did you come to Fully Alive?
My story is a long one... In the summer of 1996 Scott, his wife Cindi, my wife Beth, and I all were on a pilgrimage to Gilroy for a burger at In-N-Out. On that drive Scott told us about an idea and a vision that God was beginning to reveal to him. In the fall of 1996 Beth and I went to a concert and I was frustrated at the "vision" of what the Host of the concert wanted and the "worship" experience he was trying to share. I was also unhappy with the church that we were currently going to. The day after the concert I told Beth that although I never wanted to be up front or lead in anyway that "I could DO church" better then what we had experienced... Two months later I felt a strong calling to call my friend Scott and tell him that I felt lead to commit my tithe to "what ever ministry he was going to start". The very next day he told me about a church that he was being called to start. I was so amazed how God had set me up all the way to that moment. I was totally primed and ready to say, "Scott, I want to help, I'm right behind all the way." To that, Scott replied, "NO, I want you right next to me." Ever since then I have gladly followed the calling that God had set before me. It has been a delightful journey.
What is your favorite scripture verse?
"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Psalms 37:4
What is your favorite Christian and/or secular artist?
In the past I've said Sting was best song writer alive. Although I still feel that his writing is incredible, both lyrically and musically, I have a new found love of basically all things U2. Bono, in my mind, is probably one of the most outspoken and yet misunderstood evangelists of the 20th, and now 21st century. Recently, Scott Owens turned me onto, "Walk On: The Spiritual Journey of U2" All I can say is READ IT!
Where would be your dream vacation and why?
On a beach WITHOUT a cell phone.
What is your favorite ice cream?
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
What is your favorite food?
Pizza... pepperoni
Mac or PC
Mac....duh
Pepsi or Coke
Pepsi...bigger duh
Tell something about yourself that most people don't know about you.
I just wanna DANCE...(not really), I really like flying my kite... it is soo far from what I do everyday and there are NO powercords or hard drives.

How have you progressed on your spiritual journey to be a Christian?
Fully Alive has, for the first time in my life, given me a forum to use the skills that God has cultivated in me my entire life. I love the fact that he has wired me the way that he did. Only an omniscient God could have created me this way, and only he could have given me such a joy to serve the way I do here.

Who are the biggest influences in your life?
MY father. He is an incredible man... He is wise, patient, loving, and taught be to be a servant. I love the way that he instilled in me values at an age that I will never forget. I have a memory of being in the back yard digging ditches to run a sprinkler system. My father used that occasion to show me that NO MATTER WHAT I was doing that I could do it great and with purpose. Even if you are digging a ditch, you can do it wonderfully for God. I wish everyone could know my Dad.
