"The church cannot significantly influence 21st century society by continuing to imagine cutting edge as stained-glass windows, and hi-tech as overhead projectors while ignoring the tools that influence and mold the rest of the world."

Bishop T.D. Jakes
The Potter's House, Dallas TX

Fully Alive uses a lot of boxes and cables to put on a Sunday Discovery Service. We set up theatrical lighting, rear screen video projection, about 100 square feet of stage in addition to the stage that is already in the building, as well as the sound system, which is fairly extensive. All this goes in at 7AM and we are typically out of the building by 12:30pm, 5 and half hours later. In that time, we do 2 services.

Often times I have people come up to me and make comments about all the work it must be or all the stuff we move. This is our philosophy.

We feel that God grants us the ability to do what we do. As long as three criteria are met, we'll do whatever we can to make the service better.

The three criteria are as follows:

One, if God gives us the know-how to pull something off.

Two, if He gives us the resources financially to buy, rent, acquire the needed stuff.

Three, if He makes it possible LOGISTICALLY, do we have the time, can we physically move the stuff, and can we store it some place safely.

If these three things are met then we feel that it is our responsibility to do whatever God sets before us, even if it only make the service just a little bit better. Anything less and we would be robbing God of something.

What would have happened if the "Little Drummer Boy" had not played his drum for the baby Jesus.
